Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus: Release Date

There are no concrete rumors yet about the exact market launch. The expected release date of Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus 5G in India is in August 2020. It is feared that the price will be well above $1250 USD due to both Note 20 models being equipped with 5G by default.

Galaxy Note 20 Plus: The latest rumors

The screen diagonal of the Galaxy Note 20 should be 6.42 inches, the plus even come to 6.87 inches. The Note 10 is currently 6.5 inches and the Note 10 Plus is 6.8 inches. With a resolution of 3040×1440 pixels there is no reason to increase that – unless Samsung is playing with the aspect ratio. As with the S20 series, the company uses high-resolution OLEDs with a refresh rate of 120 Hertz. Hopefully, this will ensure a particularly smooth rendering and, especially in connection with the pen input, less dragging effects. The front camera is probably sitting in a circular recess again.

Galaxy Note 20 Plus: Super CPU Exynos 992

According to ZDnet, Samsung will launch a new super processor: the Exynos 992. Its specialty: It uses the latest ARM processor design Cortex A78 and the graphics engine G78), both of which should provide more graphics performance and better power efficiency. For this purpose, the Exynos 992 is said to be the first Samsung chip to be manufactured using the new 5-nanometer process, which, due to its smaller structures, should use less power. For comparison: The Galaxy S20 ran with the Exynos 990 chip from 7 nm production. In addition: In the Galaxy Note 20+ 5G, faster eUFS 3.1 storage and 16 gigabytes (GB) of RAM make an additional contribution to very high performance.

Galaxy Note 20+: Battery almost as big as in the Note 20 Plus

According to Sammobile, the battery of the normal Note 20 has 4300mAh, which is almost as big as the Plus version (rumors say 4500). And who knows: Maybe the manufacturer will surprise us with a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra? The huge Galaxy S20 Ultra already offers 5,000 mAh and therefore good battery endurance.

Galaxy Note 20+: giant fingerprint sensor

The GSMArena website reported in mid-May 2020 that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20+ 5G may be the first smartphone to be equipped with the “3D Sonic Max” fingerprint sensor from Qualcomm. The advantage: With 20×30 millimeters, this sensor is around 17 times larger than conventional sensors. What sounds like a step backwards increases the ease of unlocking: users do not have to hit the scanning area as precisely and the Note 20 may scan two fingers.
